Sakura started to bloom in MIYAMA!

It’s one or two weeks behind from other areas in Kansai, but cherry blossoms finally started to bloom in MIYAMA this week!  After long chilly and snowy winter period this year, we are so delightful that the flower blooming season has finally arrived!

Usually, the spring blooming in Miyama starts with plum followed by peach and then Sakura, but they seem to bloom almost the same timing this year.  Pink flowers of sakura are added to already blooming colorful flowers adorning mountains.  These Sakura are at Ohno Dam Park at west side of Miyama where more than 1000 cherry trees are planted surrounding the dam lake.
